BIG!!!

"Oh boy..." (my favorite saying...)

I sure am getting to be a big boy.
One of my bestest friends, Ben, just turned 2, and I'll be there in 5 months!

So, I've been practicing my ABC'ss and 123's so that I'm ready to be a big 2-year-old...
(Side-Note: Even though my favorite letter is "W," which I walk around the house saying at random, I love saying my ABC's with Mom & Dad: Mom says, "A" I say "B." Dad says "C" I say "D..." all the way up to "G" when I say, "H-I-J-K" all by myself. I'm about done when we get to "S" and that's when I like to stop and clap for myself.)
I'm pointing out new objects and saying new words all the time...
I LOVE to talk!

Since I'm such a good big boy, I'm also starting to help Mom pick up and clean.

Last night I helped mom with laundry.

I put Mommy's clean underwear around my neck and made sure the inside of the dryer was clean too.

And, since I'm getting so big, Mom & Dad are getting my "big boy" monster bedroom ready:
I love monsters and can't wait to grow bigger with this one.
(I kiss it every time I walk into my new big boy room.)

Since I'm getting so big, Mom thinks I'll make a good big brother, too.

Baby Rorey, I can't wait to meet you and show you how to be big too.

Ewww...girls....

Last night, Mommy and Dada took me to see pictures of my baby sister.

"Baby!" I said when I first saw the pictures. My excitement quickly waned...

This is a picture of her bottom.

(I don't get it!)

They showed me pictures of her legs, too:

Even in Mommy's tummy, she crosses her ankles & points her toes, just like I do.

I even got to see her profile.

Nana says she looks like my mommy,
but I had to be honest about the whole idea of girls, so my true sentiments finally came out:

"Ewwww... Icky..." I said over & over.

Mommy & Dada think she's something though.

I guess I'll have to see...

Snow day!!!!

Not only is "snow" one of my favorite words, but getting ready for it with the anticipation of PLAYING in it is totally awesome to me...

I LOVE my new coat, my new mittens, my new boots and any and all hats. For that reason, I repeatedly point to each piece of equipment and tell my mom exactly what it is that I'm wearing, with very careful pronunciation.

(Can we go "side???" and play in the snow already?)

Mom & Dad took me sledding down a really big hill after the recent really big snow, but first I had to explore the snow, all by myself (my personal motto of late.)

(I literally went laughing through the snow.)

You should have heard how hard I laughed when I went blasting down the hill with dad...

I laughed so hard I didn't even care that I was getting crushed with freezing cold snow and dirt.

For me, the worst part about a good snow day is parting with the snow.

Maybe that's why dad let me taste the pile of the "snow" I identified on his plate after sledding. Even though mom called it "powdered sugar," that snow tasted so good that it made being out of the cold snow worth it.

...Until the next big snow...(sigh)...

Happy New Year!

I think I've got some pretty good new year's resolutions for 2011.

First, I'd like to learn to play with girls to prepare for my new baby sister.

(This won't be hard, since I already love playing tea amidst pink and lace...)

I'd also love to give lots more kisses...

I'm getting pretty good at giving them to anyone and anything who will receive them.

I'd also like to start taking good care of my buddy, Axl.

(Here you can see me practicing giving him kisses when he's wearing his special hat.)

Next, while I take life very seriously at times...

...I think I'd like to practice smiling just a little bit more.

Dad thought that resolution was a good place to start so he took me sledding on my first day of 2011.

I'd say it worked - talk about immediate smiles!

I think that about covers my new year's resolutions.

And now it's time to celebrate 2011...

Happy New Year Everyone!!!
