Nursery Rhymes

'Twas 2 months before due-date and all through the nursery,
Mom and dad were quite busy, setting cribs, hanging drapery.
The bedding was set in the crib with great care,
In hopes that Corgan soon will be there.

New pictures were hung, looking down on babe's bed.
While visions of bookshelves danced in mom's head.
And ma with her belly and dad with his hammer,
Scared kitty & doggy with all of their clamor...

Hey baby, what's your sign?

Mom & Dad can't wait to meet baby Corgan, and they can't help but wonder what his personality will be... So, in fun, they took an astrological look at signs and determined this: He'll be a lot like his father, the Aries ("adventurous, impulsive, dare-devilish, energetic, pioneering and generous") or much like his mother, a Pisces ("imaginative, sensitive, compassionate, emotional and easily led"). Hello, third trimester...

Mom is 2/3 of the way done - baby and belly continue to grow! Corgan is now the size of a head of cauliflower, kicking for joy when mom fulfills her cravings of sun-dried fruit (mango is a current favorite) and avocado.

Papaya

Corgan is the size of a papaya, and mom is being reminded by people that, "you're showing now." Really? Corgan has developed his own sleeping and waking patterns and responds to sound and touch -- especially dad's touch. Ahead of his size in growth, and a constant kicker, he's also putting lots of pressure on mom to stop running - it hurts! 14 more days and he'll take us into the third trimester!

Guess who's going to be a skier? 18 weeks and Corgan expressed ultimate excitement with 2 little kicks while on the way to go skiing at Loveland. That was the second time that mom felt the little pops - the night before a very satisfied eater gave a welcoming kick on the way from dinner to the movies, in addition to an approving kick for Slumdog Millionaire.
