We had a nice, quiet Easter with family this year. This is the first year that I've really seen the kids understanding the true meaning of Easter. It is always surprising to me to see how simple and logical the story of Jesus' death and resurrection is to kids.
We started the celebration this year by dying eggs. This kids had so much fun. All Emma Rose cared about was making sure that she could dye Bronco-colored eggs.
Easter morning we went to church and the kids had a fun celebration in their Sunday school class.
We had a nice celebration with family. The cousins had a blast hunting for Easter eggs and opening Easter baskets.
Emma Rose's prayer on the night of Easter was one of my favorite yet. "Dear Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Thank you for my cousins and my nana and papa. Thank you for making all the places in the world beautiful like my mommy. Thank you that I get to eat cupcakes on Monday for my Birf-day. I love you. Amen."
Happy Easter! Thank you, Jesus, for what you did for us.
