March Madness

March was filled with adventure and fun... but it felt a bit mad with the news of an offer on our home and the preparations for our new home...but we didn't stop to create adventures in between.

We took the kids on a hike in Eldorado, just 10 minutes north of our new home, and an old stomping-ground of my youth.  So beautiful.

That evening we got to see my Uncle Randy and Aunt Loretta at my cousin, Abby's home.  Emma Rose enjoyed the rock wall built by my cousin's husband, Ross.

(We might be including one of these in the new home...)

Emma Rose started soccer this month.  She is in HEAVEN!

For Spring Break, we drove to Park City, Utah for a phenomenal ski-cation.  We stopped on the way for lunch.  The kids were fairly excited to find a beer made and named after Porter (little does he know that he was named after the beer, Porter...):

Hello, Park City!
The kids, Corey, and I had a great time skiing The Canyons and Park City.  My favorite story of the week was my conversation after Porter skied down his first double-black diamond.  When I asked him if he was scared, he nodded fiercely and said, "Mom, there was a bad word that I didn't say with my mouth, but I said it over and over in my head. I'm sorry."  Love that kid...

Here are some fun pics of Corey and Porter's special hike to some treacherous terrain that Porter took on like a trooper:

The trip was truly a family hit, nonetheless! We were lucky to get a little bit of Spring skiing, followed by 22 inches of fresh powder.

I walked into the kids' room one evening to this:

We found Park City to be beautiful!

We kind of missed the big Colorado snow storm, but Porter was thrilled that the neighbors left plenty to be shoveled on our driveway....

We had a wonderful Easter celebration at home, at church, and with family.

When we got home, Porter finished up his favorite winter past-time: shoveling snow.

And Daisy...well, she thinks she's one of us...

Happy Spring, and Happy Easter!
