New Year's came and went. Valentine's came and went. 2018 Winter Olympics came and went. Time seems to fly by, and the kids are growing taller, smarter, more responsible. They truly make Corey and I proud.
It has been a fun, eventful few months this new year, and the kids have kept us busy and full of smiles.
I was finally able to get back on the slopes in January with the kids... despite a healing hip, and despite a horrible season for snow...
The kids have had fun exploring new mountains this season, however few and far between...
The few snowfalls we've had in town have brought fun time for the kids in the neighborhood.
Porter and his neighborhood buddies started their own youtube channel this winter, called "These Boys are Best." So cute...
Emma Rose has been taking ukulele lessons and has proven to be quite the little musician!
Emma Rose had a special weekend with her "best friend" and cousin, Caroline, recently. The two evenings together consisted of trading clothes, singing and dancing performances, hairstyling and painting nails. Girls. to. the. max.
We also enjoyed a nice President's Day weekend with cousins at my brother's Granby home with a few days of skiing at Winter Park.
The kids had fun making Valentines and Valentines bags this year. Porter went with a Nike/Starwars theme this year.
Emma Rose went the unicorn/awesome-sauce route.
Sweet as ever, Emma Rose wrote the kindest Valentine for her dad...
Porter worked really hard on his science fair project.
And Emma Rose was selected to represent her school in the Jefferson County Elementary Art Show!
We spent a special couple days down at the Broadmoor as I took students down to compete at the State DECA competition. Emma Rose found her favorite post-Valentine bouquet.
...And the kids enjoyed the deer lounging around the lake at the Broadmoor.
Daisy was pretty thrilled when I finally made it back home!
As soon as we returned, Porter had a soccer tournament. He played so well, scoring a total of 5 goals, and having 1 amazing assist.
(3 of those were scored in his final tournament game, earning him a hat-trick!)
Grateful for my beautiful kids in this busy but full season of life!
