Summer

I love this picture...nothing says summer like water, slides, pools, tans, and friends...

Porter brought his neighborhood buddies (aka the "Beast Bro's") to Pirate's Cove as a post-birthday celebration.  They had a blast.

The kids had a great time at Valor's soccer camp at the end of June.

We continue to return to our favorite summer spot on the Clear Creek River in Golden, where Porter mines for Gold ... and often successfully finds specs of gold!

The kids got what I thought was their first ever slurpy from 7-11, on 7/11, but I found out that their grandparents had introduced them already!!!

The kids and I have stayed busy - going to pools, playing games, doing puzzles, VBS, and hiking ... I love them so much and they're growing up so quickly.  I cherish the summer and the 2 months that I get to experience them fully...  Here are some pictures from a beautiful hike we took today at Booth Falls.  So. Much. Fun.  Great conversations ...

Porter and Emma Rose are growing up so quickly.  I love them, I love their relationship (especially when they're putting their arms AROUND each other and not clobbering each other...) and I love the unique challenges that each of their personalities offer.
